Biography

About

Andrew Sloey is a Scottish actor. Born in Glasgow, graduated after studying Electronic Publishing, & Media Technology at College. After having worked for a well known high street bank, Andrew left to train as an actor at UK Theatre School, & RSAMD. Further training followed at the NOHO Theatre Arts Centre (Hollywood).

 

Following a trip to London, Andrew was noticed by an LA talent scout. He pursued Hollywood, after being selected during episodic season. He has had a promising response!

 

Andrew has studied with respected teachers Lesly Khan (Sitcom Acting Master Class),  Amy Lyndon (The Lyndon technique),  Dee Wallace Stone (Spiritual Acting)  and Gregg Edwards (On Camera Classes) whilst studying in Los Angeles.

Andrew has a diverse body of work, from big budget features, to performing to help student nurses pass their exams. His work has included a leading role in Bear Grylls Facing Up, an adaptation of the acclaimed novel of the same name, reading for Robert Carlyle in Stone of Destiny, & Shakespears Hamlet. Andrew also had a guest spot on the popular Scottish comedy Still Game, as well as commercial roles for Fosters, Kronenberg, & The fresh Brand. Andrew has played the starring role in various indie productions.

 

His first professional role was on the feature film Miss Potter, where he only had one line with Renee Zellweger..!

Andrew has performed in various sitcom stage productions in America, as part of his ongoing training.

Son of a sheet metal worker on the shipyards of Glasgow(father) & a store manager, home maker(mother). Andrew is also a talented Artist & qualified Lifeguard.
